A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTs FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE SEVENTEENTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2018-2019.
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Kaiser high school, Oahu
Planning, design, construction, and equipment for a new visual and performing arts complex.
Planning and design $1,000,000
Construction $26,200,000
Equipment $2,800,000
Total funding $30,000,000
B. Kaiser high school, Oahu
Construction for renovations to the athletic complex.
Construction $200,000
Total funding $200,000
C. Hahaione elementary school, Oahu
Equipment for solar panels.
Equipment $200,000
Total funding $200,000
D. Hahaione elementary school, Oahu
Construction for the counseling center building.
Construction $900,000
Total funding $900,000
E. Hahaione elementary school, Oahu
Construction for the video production lab.
Construction $200,000
Total funding $200,000
E. Hahaione elementary school, Oahu
Construction for the marker space lab.
Construction $200,000
Total funding $200,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2018.
