Permits incorporated societies for the protection of animals to petition for full custody of impounded animals prior to filing or final disposition of criminal charges against the owner of the animals that arise from circumstances supporting the impoundment.  (HB1516 HD1)

RELATING TO THE ASSAULT OF A UTILITY WORKER.

Establishes a class C felony for an assault against a utility worker that causes serious or substantial bodily injury or an assault against a utility worker with a dangerous instrument that causes bodily injury.  (HB796 HD1)

RELATING TO FIREARMS.

Requires law enforcement agencies to be notified of the identity of a firearms permit applicant whose application is denied because of firearm prohibitions established under federal or state law.  (HB459 HD1)

RELATING TO RESISTING ARREST.

Creates the offense of resisting arrest in the first degree as a class C felony.  Amends the existing resisting arrest misdemeanor offense to resisting arrest in the second degree.  (HB461 HD1)
