Establishes a three-year Work-for-a-Day Pilot Program that provides homeless individuals with work opportunities and connects them with service providers.  Requires the Governor's Coordinator on Homelessness to submit a report to the Legislature prior to the 2018 Regular Session on implementing the program.  Appropriates funds.  (HB1281 HD1)

RELATING TO YOUTH.

Requires the Office of Youth Services to coordinate a two-year Safe Places for Youth Pilot Program in partnership with private organizations to coordinate a network that youth can access for safety and where youth can obtain advice, guidance, programs, and services.  Establishes a Safe Places for Youth Pilot Program Coordinator position.  Appropriates funds.  (HB844 HD1)

RELATING TO A YOUTH ADVISORY COMMISSION.

Establishes a Youth Advisory Commission within the Office of Youth Services to advise the Governor and Legislature on the effects of legislative policies, needs, assessments, priorities, programs, and budgets relating to youth.  (HB1466 HD1)

RELATING TO PROGRAMS FOR HIGH RISK YOUTH.

Appropriates funds to the Department of Human Services for the operational costs of an organization providing prevention, intervention, and group and individual counseling for high risk youth.  (HB693 HD1)

RELATING TO CHILD SUPPORT.

Requires certain amounts of child support moneys collected by the Department of Human Services (DHS) for public assistance of a child to pass through to the family receiving the public assistance.  Requires DHS to disregard passed through child support payments when determining the needs of an applicant for or recipient of public assistance.  (HB801 HD1)

RELATING TO CHILD CARE PROVIDERS.

Requires all child care providers subject to regulation by the Department of Human Services to obtain and maintain liability insurance as a condition of licensure, temporary permission, or registration.  Effective upon approval but stipulates enforcement shall not occur until January 1, 2018.  (HB674 HD2)

RELATING TO REPORTS OF CHILD ABUSE.

Brings the State into compliance with the federal Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015 and the federal Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act of 2010.  Amends the definition of "child abuse or neglect" to include sex trafficking.  Clarifies that child abuse and neglect reports that are expunged from the State's central registry may be retained by the Department of Human Services for future risk and safety assessment purposes.  Deletes the child abuse investigation disposition of "unsubstantiated" and replaces it with "not confirmed".  (HB1099 HD1)

RELATING TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

Streamlines the reporting requirements of the Department of Human Services (DHS)and the family courts to require DHS, upon direction of the court, to provide the family court with an oral or written report regarding the safety of a minor child of the parties on or prior to the next regularly scheduled court hearing.  Provides that if DHS provides a written report, the DHS need not appear at the hearing unless ordered to do so.  Requires the court to provide copies of all written reports to the parties.  (HB669 HD1)

RELATING TO ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES.

Authorizes the Department of Human Services to investigate allegations of the physical isolation of vulnerable adults and take corrective action including obtaining judicial relief.  (HB199 HD2)

RELATING TO THE HEALTHY AGING PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM.
