RELATING TO MEDICAID.

Establishes an add-on payment of forty per cent to the medicaid base rate for medicaid enrollees at long-term care facilities that have medically complex conditions requiring higher level of care.  Appropriates funds for fiscal years 2018 and 2019 to cover increased costs.

RELATING TO THE HOSPITAL SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM.

Continues the Hospital Sustainability Program for two years.  Appropriates funds out of the Hospital Sustainability Program Special Fund for fiscal years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019.

RELATING TO THE NURSING FACILITY SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM.

Continues the nursing facility sustainability program for one additional year.  Appropriates funds out of the nursing facility sustainability program special fund for fiscal year 2017-2018.

RELATING TO CHILD CARE FACILITIES.

Requires DHS to publish reports of child care facility inspections and complaint investigations on DHS's website. Creates an oversight committee for implementation of and compliance with publication requirements.  Requires annual reporting to the Legislature.  Makes an appropriation.

RELATING TO CHILD CARE PROVIDERS.

Requires all child care providers subject to regulation by the Department of Human Services to obtain and maintain liability insurance as a condition of licensure, temporary permission, or registration.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES.

Provides for an annual inflationary adjustment in the methodology used to reimburse facilities for the long-term care of medicaid recipients.  Appropriates funds for the inflationary adjustment for fiscal years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019.
