Establishes the offense of assault in the second degree if a person intentionally or knowingly causes bodily injury to a health care professional, as defined in section 451D-2, Hawaii Revised Statutes, who is engaged in the performance of duty at the time of the assault. (HB1484 HD2)

RELATING TO MEDICAL MARIJUANA.

Establishes the Office of Medical Marijuana Administration in DOH to administer dispensary system and patient registration.  Extends civil service exemptions and interim rulemaking authority.  Requires an alternate tracking system for use when the DOH computer tracking system is nonfunctional.  Adds considerations for establishing testing standards and selecting additional dispensary licensees.  Specifies retention requirements for video security recordings. RELATING TO HEALTH.

Authorizes a pharmacy to provide a customized patient medication package to any patient of an institutional facility or any member of the general public, subject to certain conditions.  (HB1299 HD1)

RELATING TO LANDSCAPING.

Requires DOH to create and maintain a list of plants and landscaping related structures or equipment that are known to be preferred habitats for mosquito breeding and prohibits use of these elements in public landscaping.  Exempts routinely maintained botanical gardens.  (HB604 HD1)
