The purpose of the informational briefing is to receive updates and information relating to the overview of the Department of Education in preparation for the 2016 Legislative Session.  Topics to be covered but are not limited to:

Teacher travel ruling by Ethics Commission

Heat Abatement progress

Student Transportation

Student Testing

Federal and State reviews and audits being conducted on the DOE

Race to the Top evaluations

Zone of Innovation School evaluations

DOE Consultants

No public testimony will be accepted.
