The purpose of this informational briefing is to provide an overview of the Access Learning pilot project. The joint committees will hear testimony from principals in and out of the pilot project on the impact of technology integration on teaching and learning, and the interest in expanding the pilot project statewide. A teacher from Nanaikapono Elementary School will also be on hand to facilitate an interactive classroom activity, using technology. The presenters will share pictures, videos, and student testimony to help demonstrate how the pilot project has changed learning in their schools.
Legislators, staff, and audience members are encouraged to bring their laptops to participate in this interactive briefing.
Presenters:
· Stephen Schatz, Assistant Superintendent of the Office of Strategy, Innovation, and Performance
· Stephanie Shipton, Acting Director of Policy, Innovation, Planning, and Evaluation
· Teachers and principals from schools in and out of the 1:1 pilot project.
