RELATING TO BROADBAND ACCESS AVAILABILITY IN RESORT AREAS. Establishes a task force to create a master plan for the availability of universal high speed broadband access in Waikiki and other resort areas.

RELATING TO THE CREATIVE MEDIA INDUSTRY. Assigns to the Hawaii tourism authority the responsibilities for film, television, digital, and new media development. Repeals the film industry activities within the department of business, economic development, and tourism and makes conforming amendments. Appropriates funds from the special fund to the Hawaii tourism authority for implementation of the film, television, digital, and new media development activities.

RELATING TO INNOVATIVE BUSINESS INTERACTION. Establishes an innovative business interaction program under DBEDT, with the assistance of the Hawaii tourism authority. Increases the transient accommodations tax revenues deposited into the tourism special fund by an amount to be used for the program.
