RELATING TO AGRICULTURE. Appropriates funds to the Department of Agriculture, in cooperation with UH CTAHR, to research and develop methods for the prevention and treatment of macadamia felted coccid. (HB507 HD1)

RELATING TO BIOSECURITY. Requires DOA to establish or participate in private-public partnerships to enhance the biosecurity program and quarantine inspection process. Appropriates funds for specified projects. (HB871 HD1)

RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY. Includes hydroelectric facilities that generate up to 500 kilowatts of electricity as a permissible use on agricultural lands if the hydroelectric facilities are accessory to agricultural activities and if certain other conditions are met. (HB1273 HD2)

RELATING TO INVASIVE SPECIES. Mandates the Department of Agriculture to establish a little fire ant Pesticide Treatment Coupon Pilot Project and site map. Requires the Department to submit reports to the Legislature prior to the 2016 and 2017 Regular Sessions.
