Appropriates funds for a program coordinator and technical support staff member to complete the necessary planning required for an international flight training center and associated aeronautical training programs at the University of Hawaii at Hilo and Hawaii community college.  Effective 07/01/2050.  (SD2)

Status

RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

Proposed HD1:  UH Budget; Program Execution; UH-West Oahu; Sale or Gift of Land; Asian Americans; Pacific Islanders; Appropriation; Revenue Bonds.

Removes program execution exceptions provisions that are specific to the UH.  Prohibits the sale or gift of land currently being used for the permanent campus of the UH-West Oahu without the prior consent of the Legislature.  Appropriates moneys to fund positions in SEED, and to provide direct services relating to student affairs and higher education.  Repeals the authority of UH to issue revenue bonds.  Effective 7/1/2014.  (HD1 Proposed)

RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

Proposed HD1:  UH; Appropriation; Student Employees; Revenue Bonds; Budget; Program Execution; Exceptions; Repeal; UH-West Oahu; Sale or Gift of Land.

Appropriates funds to UH to pay student employees at new or expanded worksites on each campus.  Repeals authority of UH to issue revenue bonds.  Removes program execution exceptions provisions that are specific to UH.  Prohibits the sale or gift of land currently being used for the permanent campus of UH-West Oahu, including the surrounding land to which UH holds title, without the prior consent of the Legislature.  Effective 7/1/2014.  (HD1 Proposed)

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW
