RELATING TO FIRE PROTECTION FOR FIREWORKS. Requires that permanent and temporary fireworks storage buildings or structures and buildings or facilities where redistribution activities are performed comply with currently adopted county building or fire codes or latest edition of nationally recognized standards. RELATING TO PAYMENT OF WAGES. Clarifies that employers may pay wages by direct deposit under certain conditions. Allows employers to pay wages by pay cards under certain circumstances. Makes employers responsible for any fees incurred if an employer has insufficient funds in their bank account for the electronic transfer. Effective July 1, 2112. (SD1)

RELATING TO THE CENTER FOR NURSING. Amends the composition of the center for nursing advisory board by decreasing the number of voting members on the center for nursing advisory board to nine; specifying the membership of the advisory board to better facilitate the center for nursing's mission; and clarifying term limits and appointments to the advisory board. Amends certain powers and duties of the advisory board. (SD1)

RELATING TO MEDICAL MARIJUANA. Permits board certified pain specialist physicians, oncologists, ophthalmologists, and board certified palliative care physicians to prescribe medical marijuana. Effective January 2, 2015. (SD1)

RELATING TO ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSES. Amends various sections of the Hawaii Revised Statutes to enable advanced practice registered nurses to practice to the fullest extent of their training and education. (HB2099 HD1)

RELATING TO POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION. Repeals the requirement that a private college or university show that it maintains profitability as a means of demonstrating financial integrity to the department of commerce and consumer affairs. Repeals section 304A-3153, HRS, relating to procedures for complaints concerning institutions of higher education in the State.
