RELATING TO FERTILITY RIGHTS OF CANCER PATIENTS. Requires insurance coverage for embryo, oocyte, and sperm cryopreservation procedures for adults diagnosed with cancer who have not started cancer treatment. Effective July 1, 2050. (HB2061 HD1)

RELATING TO IN VITRO FERTILIZATION INSURANCE COVERAGE. Provides insurance coverage equality for women who are diagnosed with infertility by making available to them expanded treatment options, ensuring adequate and affordable health care services. Effective July 1, 2050. (HB2355 HD1)

RELATING TO HEALTH. Requires vendors who have been awarded contracts through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies bidding program to have a physical presence in Hawaii. Effective July 1, 2050. (HB2528 HD1)

RELATING TO INSURANCE. Updates Title 24, Hawaii Revised Statutes, relating to insurance. Improves the operations of the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Insurance Division. Ensures that the Insurance Division retains its accreditation with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and complies with the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE RATES. Establishes and appropriates funds for the state innovation waiver task force to develop a plan for applying for a state innovation waiver under the PPACA. RELATING TO HEALTH. Establishes the Hawaii Health Connector as a state entity as of 01/01/2015. Creates the consumer, patient, business, and health care advisory group and the intergovernmental agency advisory group to advise the Connector board of directors. Appropriates moneys to the Connector. Establishes a sustainability fee to support operations of the Connector. Establishes and appropriates moneys for a state innovation waiver task force to develop a plan for applying for a state innovation waiver under the PPACA. (HD1)

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony no later than 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony should indicate:
· Testifier's name with position/title and organization;
· The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;
· The date and time of the hearing; and
· Measure number.
While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing. Those wishing to provide oral testimony will be limited to two minutes.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website after the hearing adjourns. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
