A Vision of Sustainability and Self-Sufficiency for Hawaii
In 2005, lawmakers saw an opportunity to shape the future of Hawaii as a sustainable community by enacting the Hawaii 2050 Sustainability Plan, pursuant to Act 8 (SSLH 2005). From this legislation, the Hawaii 2050 Sustainability Task Force was established to review the Hawaii State Plan and develop recommendations that would improve the long-term viability of our state.
