Senator Carol Fukunaga currently serves as chair of the committee on Economic Development and Technology. She also sits as a member on the committees on Water and Land, and Ways and Means.
Senator Fukunaga represents Hawaii's 11th Senatorial District and has served in the Hawaii State Senate since 1992. Fukunaga represented Makiki, Ala Moana, and McCully communities as a State Representative from 1978 to 1982 and 1986-1992.
Born on December 12, 1947, Senator Fukunaga received a BA from the University of Hawaii and continued her education, receiving an JD at the University of Hawaii Richardson School of Law.
