Senator Robert Bunda currently serves as President Emeritus. He also serves as vice-chair of the Public Safety and Military Affairs committee. He also sits as a member on the Judiciary and Government Operations, Labor, and Water, Land, Agriculture, and Hawaii Affairs committees. Senator Bunda represents Hawaii's 22nd Senatorial District and has served in the Hawaii State Senate since 1994. Bunda represented Mililani, Wahiawa and North Shore communities as a State Representative from 1983 to 1994.
Born on April 25, 1947, Senator Bunda and his wife, Gail, have five children: Rachel, Ryan, Ashley, Robson, and James Robert. Senator Bunda is a graduate from Leilehua High School and received a B.S. from Texas Wesleyan College in 1974. He continued his education at the University of Dallas in 1975.
