Recognizing the importance of this issue, Representative Yamashita has requested funding for this project. After hearing numerous concerns from his constituents regarding the intersection of Kula Highway and Haleakala Highway, funds to construct a right turn lane on west-bound Haleakala Highway, traffic signal improvements, signage and markings have been requested.
