Since his election to the Hawaii House in 2006 Representative Mizuno's goal has been to bring the residents of District 30 together to create a community that is safe where families can achieve prosperity and security, and where children can thrive and have opportunities to achieve their dreams. He is also a strong advocate for government efficiency and business.<br>

John lists the following as legislative priorities: the economy & job creation, quality education from pre-K and beyond, accessible healthcare, infrastructure expansion & improvement, affordable housing, a green sustainable environment, and public safety. <br>

Representative Mizuno graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a BS in sociology, and was on the 1983 Warrior football team. John also obtained a law degree from the Willamette University College of Law. He is married to May Mizuno.<br>
