The purpose of this informational briefing is to discuss the concerns with basic services under the supervision of Community Ties of America (CTA). The briefing will seek to identify concerns regarding possible conflicts of interest in the certification of community care foster family homes as well as concerns regarding case management, the current client referral system (discharge network), proper placement of clients and the difference in pay provided to private case managers and case managers under the supervision of CTA.
Case management services under Ohana Care and Ever Care will also be discussed. Moreover, the briefing will discuss options to more effectively address the healthcare needs of the clients under such programs.
