RELATING TO THE WIRELESS ENHANCED 911 BOARD. Deletes quorum by proxy and authorization for a board member to vote by proxy submitted in writing to the board. Permits quorum to be established by the physical presence of any 6 members of the board. (SB2258 SD1)

RELATING TO LIQUOR LICENSES. Establishes winery class of liquor license. Authorizes wineries to sell wine for consumption off-premises. (SD1)

RELATING TO PROCUREMENT. Transfers responsibility for procurement training from Department of Human Resources Development to State Procurement Office; provides that training is to be mandatory for procurement officers as determined by the State Procurement Office, and elective for county officers. RELATING TO OSTEOPATHY. Includes doctors of osteopathy in the medical doctors chapter (chapter 453) so that the board of medical examiners may treat medical doctors and doctors of osteopathy in the same manner; repeals osteopathy chapter (chapter 460, Hawaii Revised Statutes). (SD2)

RELATING TO PROFESSIONS. Repeals sunset provisions for chapter 453D, Hawaii Revised Statutes, relating to licensed mental health counselors. Adds licensed mental health counselors to the list of mental health practitioners receiving covered benefits. (SB2159 HD1)

RELATING TO GENETIC COUNSELORS. Establishes a licensure program for genetic counselors. Effective July 1, 2008. (SD1)

RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS. Requires scheduling of special association meetings by petition to be set no later than 60 days from receipt of petition. Clarifies that petitioners may send out notice of meeting and proxies at associations expense if secretary or managing agent fails to do so.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW
Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:
· Testifier's name with position/title and organization;
· The Committee the comments are directed to;
· The date and time of the hearing;
· Measure number; and
· The number of copies the Committee is requesting.
While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.
Submit testimony in ONE of the following ways:

FAX: For comments less than 5 pages in length, transmit to CPC Vice Chair at 586-6161 (Oahu) or 1-800-535-3859 (Neighbor Islands); or
EMAIL: For comments less than 5 pages in length, transmit to CPCtestimony@Capitol.hawaii.gov.
Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns. This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
