RELATING TO MORTGAGE FORECLOSURES. Amends certain sections of the mortgage foreclosures law to ensure that consumers and others receive important information regarding a foreclosure in a timely manner.

RELATING TO THE UNIFORM UNCLAIMED PROPERTY ACT. Updates the Uniform Unclaimed Property Act by replacing the existing 1981 version of the Act with the 1995 version, among other things. (HB2559 HD1)

RELATING TO THE SMALL BUSINESS BILL OF RIGHTS. Establishes the Small Business Bill of Rights. Requires the Ombudsman to investigate complaints of violations of the Small Business Bill of Rights. (HB2736 HD1)

RELATING TO LIQUOR. Requires liquor labeled "Hawaii" or certain other references to Hawaii to be wholly manufactured in the State. Exempts vineyards and wineries from this requirement. Allows the holder of a liquor manufacturer's license to sell liquor made from cane for private use and consumption. (HB2960 HD1)

RELATING TO AMENDING OR REPEALING VARIOUS PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 281, HAWAII REVISED STATUTES, INTOXICATING LIQUOR, FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLARIFYING LANGUAGE, CORRECTING ERRORS, AND DELETING UNNECESSARY AND OBSOLETE PROVISIONS. Amends sections of chapter 281 to update the liquor laws. (HB2253 HD1)

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW
Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:
· Testifier's name with position/title and organization;
· The Committee the comments are directed to;
· The date and time of the hearing;
· Measure number; and
· The number of copies the Committee is requesting.
While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns. This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
