Your Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection, and Affordable Housing, to which was referred Governor's Message No. 313, submitting for study and consideration the nomination of:
Board of Examiners in Naturopathy

Your Committee reviewed the personal history, resume, and statement submitted by the nominee, and finds Michael L. Traub, N.D. to have the necessary qualifications to be nominated to the Board of Examiners in Naturopathy for a second term.
Testimony in support of Dr. Traub's nomination was submitted by the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
Dr. Traub received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Irvine, and another Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Kansas Newman College. Subsequently, he received his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon. He currently practices naturopathic medicine at Ho‘o Lokahi in Kailua-Kona on the Island of Hawaii and is a licensed naturopathic physician in this State. He has extensive teaching experience and has authored several published works. His is a member of a long list of professional societies and organizations of which he has served several leadership roles.
Dr. Traub currently serves as the Chairperson for the Board of Examiners in Naturopathy where he contributes his knowledge of the field of naturopathic medicine as well as history to the Board. Dr. Traub's demonstrated commitment, motivation, education, and professional experiences will continue to greatly assist the Board of Examiners in Naturopathy.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection, and Affordable Housing that is attached to this report, your Committee, after full consideration of the background, experience, and qualifications of the nominee, has found the nominee to be qualified for the position to which nominated and recommends that the Senate advise and consent to the nomination.
