STATE OF HAWAII

A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR DENTAL HEALTH.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $20,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2006-2007, for the department of health, dental health division, to establish dental health clinics for oral health care funding to the counties for QUEST eligible adults, as follows:

(1) City and county of Honolulu $5,000,000

(2) County of Kauai $5,000,000

(3) County of Maui $5,000,000

(4) County of Hawaii $5,000,000

Total $20,000,000

SECTION 2. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the designated counties for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2006.
