A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the TWELFTH representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2005-2006:
1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:
A. Kalama intermediate school, Maui
Design, equipment, and construction for renovation of administration building.

Design and construction for road widening along Haleakala highway.

SECTION 2. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed below, are hereby appropriated or authorized, as the case may be, from moneys in the treasury received from general obligation bond funds and other federal funds for the fiscal biennium beginning on July 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2007. The letter symbols used after the specific project appropriations indicate the source of financing and have the following meanings: (C) general obligation bond fund; and (N) other federal funds. The total expenditures in each fiscal year of the biennium shall not exceed the sums indicated for each fiscal year.
1. To be expended by the department of agriculture:
A. Agricultural dual line water system, Kula, Maui
Design, land acquisition, and construction for phase 3 of the agricultural dual line water system project. This project is deemed necessary to qualify for federal aid financing and/or reimbursement.

SECTION 3. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in sections 1 and 2 shall be expended by the designated expending agencies for the purpose of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2005.
