AGENDA:
The purpose of this informational briefing , in collaboration with the Hawaii Energy Policy Forum, is to receive presentations from the Department of Business Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT), the Public Utilities Commission (PUC), Hawaii's electrical utilities, and energy consultants on the current status of Hawaii's energy situation and assessing and addressing Hawaii's energy future. Presentations on reducing Hawaii's imported oil dependency through transportation efficiency and alternative fuels will also be discussed.

AGENDA:
The University of Hawaii’s Academy for Creative Media, headed by Chris Lee, concentrates on exposing students to new and growing media industries, including digital media and games, with an emphasis on creating new businesses in these fields in Hawaii. For example, the worldwide video game industry has grown to $25 billion a year, surpassing the U.S. film industry estimated to be about $20 billion. The purpose of this informational briefing is to highlight ACM programs and emerging industry niches such as the video game segment.
