URGING THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU TO MOVE MORE OF ITS OFFICES TO KAPOLEI.
WHEREAS, in an effort to relieve the congestion coming into downtown Honolulu; and
WHEREAS, in an effort to better serve the community; and
WHEREAS, in an effort to accommodate the expanding service base of the City and County of Honolulu; and
WHEREAS, the infrastructure to accommodate the transfer is already in place in Kapolei, which has been designated as Oahu's Second City; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-third Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2005, that the City and County of Honolulu is urged to move more of its offices and operations to Kapolei; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this Resolution be transmitted to the Mayor and the Chairperson of the Council of the City and County of Honolulu.
