A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

Making an appropriation for highway improvements in maui.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $ , or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2004-2005, for the following highway improvements in Maui:

1. Haleakala widening at milepost 0.8 $ 905,000

2. Honoapiilani Highway widening and realignment from Honokowai to Launiupoko $6,000,000

3. Honoapiilani Highway widening from Lahainaluna Road to south of Front Street $ 100,000

4. Kahului Airport Access Road $3,800,000

5. Paia bypass $         

SECTION 2. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of transportation for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2004.
