Authorizes executive director to disburse funds by checks. Increases the amount of the tourism special fund for administration expenses to 10%. Authorizes accrued interest and revenues from agreements to be used for HTA purposes. Requires certified annual audits. |

RELATING TO TOURISM. Supports development of alternative accommodations and educational and cultural tourism industries. Requires the Hawaii Tourism Authority to integrate consideration of these industries into marketing plans and establishes a task force of industry and state and county representatives to survey the industries, develop communication within and between industries, identify needed regulatory and other change, and recommend legislation. |
