Measure Title: RELATING TO PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS.
Report Title: Public Works Project; Applicability of state fair wage and standards law to government contracts
Description: Maintains a fair public works bidding process by clarifying that chapter 104, HRS, applies regardless of whether prevailing wage, overtime, and other requirements are stated in a contract or specifications, and that omission from a contract cannot be used as a defense by a contractor who is found in violation. Adds new wage and hour requirements for employees on public work construction contracts under chapter 103, HRS. (HB2525 CD1)
