HB 2266 HD1 (HSCR 270-02)	RELATING TO ACCRETED LANDS. Defines accreted lands. Includes accreted lands in the definition of public lands. Requires that accreted lands shall be state lands except a private property owner may file an accretion claim to regain title to the owner's eroded land that has been restored by accretion.	WLU, JHA
HB 2496 (HSCR 137-02)	RELATING TO CHILD CARE. Exempts from child care licensing and registration statutes and rules persons who care for two or fewer children unrelated to the caregiver by blood, marriage, or adoption. Authorizes the department to investigate possible violations of the child care law. Allows the department to obtain an inspection warrant from district court.	HSH, JHA
HB 1451 HD1 (HSCR 223-02)	RELATING TO THE PREVENTION OF WORKPLACE VIOLENCE. Establishes judicial and law enforcement procedures to address workplace violence.	LAB, JHA
HB 1758	RELATING TO DOMESTIC ABUSE. Authorizes the use of a copy, facsimile telecommunication, or other reliable reproduction of a domestic abuse protective order to be used in lieu of the original order for any and all purposes for which the original order could be used.	JHA
HB 2085	RELATING TO ROBBERY. Includes the theft of a purse under the offense of robbery in the first degree.	JHA
HB 2818 HD1 (HSCR 438-02)	RELATING TO FIREARMS. Provides that use of nonlethal firearm does not constitute deadly force.	JHA

HB 2440	RELATING TO CHAPTER 846E, HAWAII REVISED STATUTES. Recommends statutory revisions to comply with the Hawaii Supreme Court's decision in State of Hawaii v. Eto Bani. Proposes other revisions to improve the operability of sex offender registration.	JHA
HB 1901 HD1 (HSCR 303-02)	RELATING TO HIV TESTING FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES. Allows for court order to provide for HIV testing of those charged with sexual assault, child abuse, and incest. Mandates HIV testing of those convicted of sexual assault, child abuse, and incest.	HLT, JHA
HB 1092	RELATING TO CONFLICTS OF INTERESTS. Prohibits an employee from taking official action directly affecting a brother, sister, parent, emancipated child, or household member.	JHA
HB 2672 HD1 (HSCR 298-02)	RELATING TO FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES. Prohibits certain political activities, including solicitation of contribution of money or things of value from any public officer or employee for any political purpose.	LMG, JHA
