• The Status of Hawaii's Inshore Fisheries at the Millennium, presented by Dr. Alan Friedlander, Oceanic Institute researcher and President of the American Fisheries Society-Hawaii Chapter.

• The Status of Invasive Aquatic species in the Hawaiian Islands presented by Dr. Celia Smith, University of Hawaii at Manoa.

• Vessel Monitoring Systems as a Fisheries Enforcement Tool, presented by Mr. Robert Harmon, National Marine Fisheries Service.

• Implementation of the Statue-to-Rules Legislation Passed in 1999, presented by a representative from the Division of Aquatic Resources.

• Current Status of the Marine Option Program, presented by Dr. Sherwood Maynard, University of Hawaii at Manoa.
