A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to TEACHERs.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Chapter 302A, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

"§302A- Salary advances. The department shall provide salary advances equal to $1,500 to new teachers within one week of the first day of work for the department. The salary advance shall be recovered by deducting $125 from each of the first twelve salary payments to the new teacher."

SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
