A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE twentieth SENATORIAL DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $199,602,874, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for fiscal year 2002-2003, for the following capital improvements in the twentieth senatorial district:
1. Barbers Point Elementary School
A. Design and construction for air conditioning of classroom and administration buildings B, C, E, F, G, H.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended for the purposes of this Act; provided that:
(1) The sums appropriated in items 1 to 9, 11 to 17, 19, and 26 shall be expended by the department of accounting and general services; and
(2) The sums appropriated in items 10, 18, and 20 to 25 shall be expended by the department of transportation.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2002.
