A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

making an appropriation for highlands intermediate school.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $300,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2002-2003, for the continuation of National Center on Education and the Economy based literacy efforts at Highlands intermediate school, including 6.00 FTE temporary teacher positions and other current expenses.

SECTION 2. The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of education for the purposes of this Act.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2002.
