A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

Intoxicating liquor.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Section 281-44, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (a) to read as follows:

"(a) All licensed premises shall post a sign in or about the premises containing and notifying all customers and other persons of [the]:

(1) The possible sanctions that may be imposed for operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant under sections 291E-41 and 291E-61[.]; and

(2) A warning statement regarding the possible effects of drinking alcohol while pregnant.

The sign shall be conspicuously positioned in order to be seen by an ordinarily observant person."

SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
