HOUSE RESOLUTION

 

relating to the caucus leaders and the committee assignments of the house of representatives of the twenty-first legislature.

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-first Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2002, that TERRY NUI YOSHINAGA shall: no longer be the Chair of the Labor and Public Employment Committee; but remain as a member of the Labor and Public Employment Committee, the Consumer Protection and Commerce Committee, the Judiciary and Hawaiian Affairs Committee, and the Transportation Committee; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that SCOTT K. SAIKI shall: be the Chair of the Labor and Public Employment Committee; no longer be the Vice Chair of the Labor and Public Employment Committee; but remain as a Co-Majority Whip and a member of the Finance Committee and the Public Safety and Military Affairs Committee; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that NESTOR R. GARCIA shall: be the Vice Chair of the Labor and Public Employment Committee; no longer be the Vice Chair of the Higher Education Committee; but remain as the Chair of the Public Safety and Military Affairs Committee, a Co-Majority Whip, and a member of the Education Committee, the Higher Education Committee, and the Transportation Committee; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that K. MARK TAKAI shall: be the Vice Chair of the Higher Education Committee; but remain the Vice Chair of the Education Committee, the Vice Chair of the Health Committee, and a member of the Human Services and Housing Committee; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that DAVID A. PENDLETON shall: be a member of the Labor and Public Employment Committee, the Transportation Committee, and the Public Safety and Military Affairs Committee; and no longer be the Minority Floor Leader; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that CHARLES KONG DJOU shall: be the Minority Floor Leader; no longer be the Assistant Minority Whip nor a member of the Labor and Public Employment Committee, the Transportation Committee, and the Public Safety and Military Affairs Committee; but remain a member of the Finance Committee; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as amended by this Resolution, all appointments and committee memberships of the House of Representatives as set forth in H.R. No. 4 adopted by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-first Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2001, shall remain in full force and effect.
