A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

relating to state agencies and departments use of the same accounting system.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 

SECTION 1. The legislature finds that in the interest of uniformity and accountability all state agencies and departments should use the same accounting system.

SECTION 2. The Department of Budget and Finance shall determine a uniform accounting system for use by all state agencies and departments.

SECTION 3. All state agencies and departments shall complete the transition into the uniform accounting system as selected by the Department of Budget and Finance no later than July 1, 2005.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
