A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

RELATING TO HANDGUN HUNTING.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

SECTION 1. Act 254, Session Laws of Hawaii 1997, as amended by Act 96, Session Laws of Hawaii 2000, is amended by amending section 4 to read as follows:

"SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval[;

provided that this Act is repealed on June 30, 2002, and sections 134-5 and 134-9, Hawaii Revised Statutes, are reenacted in the form in which they read on the day before the approval of this Act]."

SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.

SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on June 29, 2002.
