A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the forty-ninth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2002-2003.
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Kalaheo High School, Kailua
Football field.
Conversion of the existing non-regulation size football field into a regulation size football field, subject to a final land exchange agreement between Kaneohe Ranch/Harold K.L. Castle heirs and the department of land and natural resources:
Plans $
Design $
Construction $
Total funding $500,000
SECTION 2. The department of education may accept volunteer labor and services to convert Kalaheo high school's existing non-regulation size football field into a regulation size football field.
SECTION 3. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agencies for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2002.
