HR 108        COMPENSATION SCHEDULE FOR HIGH SCHOOL COACHES.
              PROPOSED  HD1:  Requesting  the   Department  of  Health  and  the
              Department  of  Agriculture  to  take  measures  to  mitigate  the
              infestation  of  flies,  and  unpleasant  odors,  and  the  severe
              drainage problems at Maili Elementary School.

SB 2843, HD2  RELATING TO THE HAWAIIAN HOMES COMMISSION ACT,             JHA,FIN
              1920, AS AMENDED.
              Clarifies DHHL's authority to  lease  out improvements situated on
              home lands.  Provides flexibility in  the manner in which DHHL may
              dispose of lands to a Native Hawaiian.
              PROPOSED HD2:  Adds  provisions  allowing licenses granted by DHHL
              as easements  to  be  considered  franchises  for  the  purpose of
              installing infrastructure on DHHL lands.
SB 2221, SD1, RELATING TO ETHANOL.                               EEP/AGR/EDB,FIN
HD2           PROPOSED  HD2:    Provides  an  investment  credit  for qualifying
              ethanol production facilities.
SB 426, SD2,  RELATING TO FUNDS.                                             FIN
HD2           PROPOSED HD2:  Repeals  provisions  allowing the Convention Center
              Authority to define "net revenues".    Extends the CCA to June 30,
              2001.
SB 1281, SD2, RELATING TO THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.              LAB,FIN
HD2           PROPOSED HD2:  Requires the ERS to establish a benefit restoration
              plan.
SB 185, SD2,  RELATING TO EDUCATION.                                     EDN,FIN
HD1           PROPOSED HD1:   Transfers  the  occupational  and physical therapy
              programs from DOH to DOE.

SSCR 2760     Allows for the acquisition,  possession,  and use of marijuana for
              medical purposes.
HCR 156/      URGING CONGRESS TO CLARIFY THE HAWAIIAN                        JHA
HR 135        HOMES COMMISSION ACT TO GIVE  NATIVE  HAWAIIANS A STATUS LIKE THAT
              OF INDIANS IN ORGANIZED TRIBES  AND  TO  PROVIDE THAT THE STATE OF
              HAWAII HAS BROAD AUTHORITY TO PRESERVE THAT STATUS.
