SB 680, SD1   RELATING TO FIREWORKS.
HD2           Allows the  counties  to  regulate  the  use  of non-aerial common
              fireworks through the issuance  of  certificates  of use. Makes it
              unlawful to possess or purchase  fireworks without a valid permit.
              Makes  it  a  misdemeanor   to  store,  possess,  purchase,  sell,
              transfer, set off,  ignite,  or  discharge aerial common fireworks
              without first having obtained a  license  or permit as required by
              section 132D-7, HRS.

              Requires all state agencies to  retrofit buildings to save energy.
              Provides that all cost savings from retrofits shall be returned to
              the retrofitting agency.
HB 2011       RELATING TO ENERGY CONSERVATION.                           EEP,CPC
              Specifies  that  Model  Energy   Code  standards  for  residential
              buildings shall  apply  to  previously  unoccupied new residential
              real property sold after 07/01/01.
HB 2922       RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY RESOURCES.                    EEP,CPC
              Requires  the  PUC   to   direct   public  utilities  that  supply
              electricity to the  public  to  acquire electricity generated from
              nonfossil fuel sources and  to  maximize  its  use so as to reduce
              consumption of fossil fuels for electricity for the public.
HB 1883       RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY RESOURCES.                    EEP,CPC
              Requires  qualified  electric   utility   companies  to  implement
              renewables portfolio standards, which  requires these utilities to
              possess a minimum percentage  of renewable energy resources within
              their overall resource portfolio.    Provides  for the issuance of
              renewable energy credits to renewable energy generators.

              Prohibits the possession  and  use  of  tobacco products by minors
              under  eighteen  years  of  age.    Makes  the  penalty  for  such
              possession and use $500 for  the  first  offense and not less then
              $500 nor more then $2000 for subsequent offenses.
HB 2764       RELATING TO NATUROPATHIC PHYSICIANS.                       HLT,CPC
              Creates  definition  of  "licensed  physician"  so  as  to include
              naturopathic physicians for  purposes  of  Department of Education
              immunization and tuberculin examinations.
HB 2808       RELATING TO HEALTH SERVICES.                           HLT/HSH,FIN
              Appropriates funds  for  health  promotion  and disease prevention
              programs at twenty high schools,  implementation of CHIP and QUEST
              programs at  school  health  rooms,  community-based  primary care
              clinics, and Area Health Education Center's matching funds.

              compensation.

              "medical supplies" to  include  physical  therapist assistant as a
              provider of care, services, and supplies.

              Allows insurance business employers  to  ask  an applicant, deny a
              job to an applicant, and fire an employee after employment, if the
              person has been  convicted  of  a  felony  involving dishonesty or
