                     HOUSE  RESOLUTION

RELATING TO COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS.



 1       BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the
 2   Twentieth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session
 3   of 2000, that WILLIE C. ESPERO, who has been duly appointed and
 4   seated as a member of the House of Representatives from the
 5   Forty-First Representative District to fill the vacancy created
 6   by the resignation of former Representative Paul T. Oshiro,
 7   shall be an Assistant Majority Floor Leader and shall be a
 8   member of the following Standing Committees:
 9   
10            Finance
11            Economic Development and Business Concerns
12            Agriculture - Vice Chair
13            Tourism
14   
15   and
16   
17       BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that SCOTT SAIKI shall: be the Vice
18   Chair of the Judiciary and Hawaiian Affairs Committee and a
19   member of the Transportation and Labor and Public Employment
20   Committees; and no longer be the Vice Chair of the Agriculture
21   Committee and a member of the Finance, Economic Development and
22   Business Concerns, and Tourism Committees but shall remain as
23   an Assistant Majority Floor Leader; and
24   
25       BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ERIC G. HAMAKAWA shall: be the
26   Chair of the Judiciary and Hawaiian Affairs Committee; and no
27   longer be the Vice Chair of the Judiciary and Hawaiian Affairs
28   Committee, and a member of the Transportation and Labor and
29   Public Employment Committees; and
30   
31       BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that BERTHA F.K. LEONG shall be a
32   member of the Human Services and Housing Committee; and
33   
34       BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that DAVID A. PENDLETON shall no
35   longer be a member of the Human Services and Housing Committee;

 1       BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as amended by this
 2   Resolution, all appointments and committee memberships of the
 3   House of Representatives as set forth in H.R. No. 4 adopted by
 4   the House of Representatives of the Twentieth Legislature of
 5   the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 1999, shall remain in
 6   full force and effect, it being understood that the name of
 7   Paul T. Oshiro, wherever it appears in H.R. No. 4, is deleted.
