                   A  BILL  FOR  AN  ACT
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE TWENTY-FIFTH
   REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 1      SECTION 1.  The director of finance is authorized to issue
 
 2 general obligation bonds in the sum of $23,862,000, or so much
 
 3 thereof as may be necessary, and the same sum, or so much thereof
 
 4 as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2000-2001,
 
 5 for the following projects in the 25th representative district:
 
 6 1.   McKinley high school
 
 7      Expand auto and electronic shops
 
 8           Plans                                       $  100,000
 
 9           Construction                                 3,900,000
 
10                Total Funding                          $4,000,000
 
11      New P.E. classrooms and girls athletic lockers
 
12           Design                                      $  100,000
 
13           Construction                                 3,000,000
 
14           Equipment                                      400,000
 
15                Total Funding                          $3,500,000

 2      SECTION 3.  The sums appropriated shall be expended by the
 
 3 department of accounting and general services for the purposes of
 
 4 this Act.
 
 5      SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2000.
