H.B 1155 Relating to Physician Assisted Death   HLT, JHA/CPC
        With Dignity

        Enables an individual who suffers from a terminal or
intractable and unbearable illness to receive assistance from a
physician to end the individual's life. (Say B/R)

H.B. 172 Relating to Hospice Services (Say)       HLT, CPC, FIN

        Authorizes the department of health to license hospice
service agencies.

H.B. 173 Relating to Medical Services               HLT, JHA
        
        Provides for the recognition and use of other state
and nationally recognized advance directive forms. (Say)

H.B. 171 Relating to Health Care Decisions          HLT, JHA
        
        Charges DOH to design a set of policies to improve
compliance with current advance directives law.  Clarifies that
patient's wishes have priority at all times.  Establishes a task
force to review existing statutes on end-of-life care. (Say)

 
 
 
 
H.B. 1140  Relating to Health Care Decisions          HLT, JHA
        
        Proposes a comprehensive modified uniform health-care
decisions act which would permit a competent individual to
control decisions relating to his or her own medical care.
