SB 2   RELATING TO THE PUBLIC PROCUREMENT CODE     GOH, WAM
       Requires the Auditor to review and approve all      TAM
       State and County audit contracts to avoid
       conflicts of interest.

SB 208  RELATING TO PROCUREMENT                     GOH, WAM
       Exempts from the Public Procurement Code for     NAKATA
       two years, capital improvement projects of
       $200,000 or less; Contract reviewed by the
       Auditor prior to award.

SB 38   RELATING TO ANNUAL STATE AND COUNTY         GOH, WAM
       GOVERNMENT FINANCIAL AUDITS                      TAM
       Requires the Auditor to contract with 
       independent auditor(s) to conduct financial
       audits of the State and Counties.

SB 766  RELATING TO PROCUREMENT                     GOH, WAM
       Authorizes any agency to purchase items from   MATSUURA
       any vendor provided that the procurement office
       certifies to a lower price.

SB 140  RELATING TO HAWAII PROCUREMENT CODE         GOH, WAM
       Establishes a policy requiring State      CHUN OAKLAND/
       government to purchase Hawaii grown     HANABUSA/INOUYE
       produce and qualified Hawaii services.

SB 797  RELATING TO PUBLIC PROCUREMENT              GOH, WAM
       Imposes a dollar limit on non-bid awards            TAM
       to the same entity within a five-year period
       which may be exceeded upon the recommendation
       of the procurement officer approved by the 
       governor.

SB 105  RELATING TO REFORM OF STATE GOVERNMENT      GOH, WAM
       Establishes a six member advisory commission        TAM
       on government restructuring in the interest of
       economic growth.



 


 
SB 4   RELATING TO GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION       GOH, WAM
       Prohibits state agencies from charging other        TAM
       state agencies for goods or services provided.

SB 450  RELATING TO STATE GOVERNMENT                GOH, WAM
       Transforms the State's accounting systems to       CHUN
       report to the legislature before each session.

SB 646  RELATING TO GOVERNMENT                      GOH, WAM
       Reduces the cost of copying government  IHARA/FUKUNAGA/
       records from fifty cents to twenty-  CHUMBLEY/MATSUNAGA
       five cents.

SB 799  RELATING TO FEES                            GOH, WAM
       Establishes fee for copies of              IHARA/LEVIN/
       administrative rules not to exceed ten     CHUN OAKLAND
       cents and access free of cost on the
       world-wide webb beginning the year 2000

testimony to the committee clerk, Room 220, State Capitol, 24
hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less
than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at
586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at
least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please
indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and
time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for
submittal.

to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
