                   A  BILL  FOR  AN  ACT

RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE
   SEVENTEENTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 1      SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall
 
 2 be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are
 
 3 hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of
 
 4 Hawaii for fiscal year 1999-2000.
 
 5 1.  To be expended by the department of accounting and general
 
 6 services:
 
 7      A.   Pearl City high school, Oahu
 
 8           Design, construction, and equipment to install a new
 
 9           schoolwide PA system featuring one speaker per building
 
10           to replace the existing old system.

16           Design, construction, and equipment to correct a design
 
17           flaw in the PCCC auditorium, in which an escape door

 7           the library to department of education specifications
 
 8           (only fifty-four per cent at the present time).

 4      SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital
 
 5 projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the
 
 6 designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
 
 7      SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 1999.
