The purpose of this informational briefing is to gather information relating to the potential impacts on the community and agricultural industry in the County of Maui, arising from the significant reduction and service at the plant quarantine branch on Maui. The reduction of station staffing and the consequent reduction in service of the branch would come as the result of Governor Linda Lingle’s announced intention to lay off branch staff.
