The purpose of this decision making meeting is to insert substantive provisions into the following short form bill. A public hearing will be scheduled at a later date, at which point testimony will be accepted.

SB 302	RELATING TO THE ARTS Proposed SD1:  Adds an unspecified percentage to the works of art special fund for performing arts.	EDT

SB 709	RELATING TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Requires the department of business, economic development, and tourism to investigate, collect, analyze, and publish research and data to track economic progress and aid in the development and economic health of targeted industries.	EDT
SB 1365	RELATING TO THE INNOVATION ECONOMY Encourage the ERS to invest in Hawaii venture capital by establishing the Hawaii Innovation Investment Fund.	EDT, WAM
SB 773	RELATING TO THE HAWAII INGENUITY CORPORATION Establishes the Hawaii ingenuity corporation charter, a private, for profit, non-stock, membership corporation.	EDT, CPH
SB 907	RELATING TO AEROSPACE DEVELOPMENT Creates the office of aerospace development within the department of business, economic development, and tourism.  Appropriates $1,673,000 in FY 2007-2008 and $1,173,000 in FY 2008-2009.	EDT, WAM
SB 1211	RELATING TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Expands the capital loan program to include small businesses that are industrial, manufacturing, or export operations.	EDT, WAM
SB 623	MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Appropriates funds for small business development.	EDT, WAM
SB 708	RELATING TO TAXATION Creates a tax credit for rehabilitation of historic properties; authorizes transfer of tax credits by a nonprofit taxpayer.	EDT, WAM
SB 710	RELATING TO TECHNOLOGY Makes an appropriation for an interim alternate data center site and a business plan for its implementation.	EDT, WAM

Persons wishing to testify should submit 30 copies of their testimony to the committee clerk, Room 216, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to the hearing.  Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the disabled) please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can be made.

Public Folder.  A folder labeled “Public Folder” containing the measures and testimonies for the hearing will be available for shared use by members of the public.
