Measure Title: RELATING TO THE COMPLIANCE RESOLUTION FUND.
Report Title: Compliance Resolution Fund; Insurer Assessments; Audit ($)
Description: Provides a formula for assessments paid by each line of insurance regulated under the Insurance Code, and that insurers are to be provided 60 days notice of when assessments are due. Caps total assessments at $5,000,000 per fiscal year. Requires an Auditor financial and management audit of the insurance regulation sub-account of the Compliance Resolution Fund (CRF), to be submitted to the 2008 Legislature. Discontinues the mandatory transfer of funds from the Captive Insurance Administrative Fund (Captive Fund) to the CRF and the reversion of funds from the Captive Fund to the general fund. Requires captive program administrative expenses to come from the Captive Fund. Appropriates $1,500,000 for Captive Insurance Branch administrative expenses in each of fiscal years 2005-2006 and 2006-2007. (HB160 CD1)
