RELATING TO AMENDMENTS TO ACT 253, SESSION LAWS OF HAWAII 2000.

Allows the Director to certify that new or amended administrative rules, policies, standards, guidelines, ordinances, executive orders, directives, or provisions in a collective bargaining agreement are in place, and that the effective dates of the repeal of existing statutes and administrative rules or the effective dates of new statutes and administrative rules shall be the date of certification for a specific jurisdiction. RELATING TO WORKERS' COMPENSATION.

RELATING TO PENSION AND RETIREMENT SYSTEMS.

Provides that if a firefighter who suffers from a service-connected disability continues public service in any position other than a firefighter, the member's retirement allowance shall be two and one-half per cent of the member's average final compensation for each year of credited service as a firefighter.
