RELATING TO CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN.

Deters child pornography by bringing Hawaii's child pornography laws in line with federal statutes, and to criminalize the use of computers to victimize children.

RELATING TO VICTIMS OF CRIMES.

Adds a provision to the Hawaii Victim's Bill of Rights that would toll the statute of limitations for victims of crimes of violence, sex crimes, and certain other crimes, until the perpetrator of those crimes is released from the jurisdiction of the court (released from prison, parole, or probation).

RELATING TO AGE VERIFICATION OF SEXUAL PERFORMERS.

Requires producers of pornography to verify that their performers are not minors, and requires them to keep documentation of this verification.

RELATING TO CHAPTER 846E, HAWAII REVISED STATUTES.

Recommends statutory revisions to comply with the Hawaii Supreme Court's decision in State of Hawaii v. Eto Bani. Proposes other revisions to improve the operability of sex offender registration.
